About the Department

Human Anatomy and Physiology is home to undergraduate and graduate student who desire strong training in this will prepare them for career in medicine allied health professionals and biomedical research. Also pharmacology department is one of the preclinical science departments that form part of university medical science division and focused on basic life sciences, research, undergraduate teaching for medicine and biochemical science and training and development of graduate student.

Research Areas in this department

This department is at forefront of research into efficacy and potency of medicine and other molecules on biological system with a view to understanding the mechanisms of the human body. Preclinical research in department aims to examine cellular and molecular pathway in living system as the first step towards greater understanding of disease and effective treatment.

Teaching

Academic staff in the department escort lectures, seminars and tutorials for undergraduate and diploma students on medicine and biomedical science courses. This department also hosts laboratory equipments and facilities for better and efficient labwork.
